 I had the idea of recording my parents life story for some years, my problem was how to bring it to life. I heard about Karen  through a friend. I contacted her and after an initial conversation arranged a time for the interview. Karen being a true professional made it come to life. She assured my parents it was a private recording. She made my parents feel completely relaxed and showed a genuine interest in there past life.

Karens attitude and friendliness  made the interview a pleasure.The whole process was handled as if Karen was a family friend, her warmth of character plus her manner in which she exercised her line of questioning show her professionalism. Both my parents really enjoyed the whole progress as they are in very good health in there nineties enjoyed the whole afternoon especially chatting to Karen. My father remarked after listening back on his interview, Wow she managed to extract a lot of information in that interview, he was amused. As my father is a man of few words. 

I consider myself very lucky to have both my parents to be able to give this recording as a present to the whole family especially the next generation as most of them do not live in Ireland. The reaction of my family was incredible it was the best Christmas present ever and in the years to come will be a  precious gift  to treasure. I would recommend anyone to record your family story with Karen.

"When I googled recording/interview services, I came across the Treasure Vox which was exactly what I was looking for and the reviews were all excellent. After initial contact with Karen by phone, I found her to be friendly, warm, professional and non pushy when she explained the process. Once we set on a date, Karen sent me a list of typical questions which I shared with my father in advance. Karen spent well over 3 hours with my Dad and from the outset was so kind, warm and reassuring which totally got him comfortable with the process. At 85, doing an interview was a first for him and Karen got him over his initial nerves very quickly. He really enjoyed the process and Karen's interview technique was so skillful and subtle that he said the time flew by. After Karen had sent a recording for review and it was approved, I received the recorded interview in the most lovely parcel. What was in my mind with The Treasure Vox was that I was talking to the grandchildren.  I wanted to tell them about our lives so that many years from now they would listed to things about their Grandparents they did not know and wonder.

I was nearing my 80th Birthday and wanted to do something special for my family. I had a lot of family stories from my parents and grandparents that I wanted to pass on and not be forgotten.

I had heard about The Treasure Vox on the radio and thought it would fit the bill. 

From the first phone call with Karen, she was amazing. She explained the process clearly and was so patient.  Costs are clearly confirmed in follow up email as well and there were no extras. Karen provided  a preliminary list of questionnaire to help guide me on what I wanted to cover.

The recording took place on 2nd September 2024 in her studio in Enniscorthy. A very comfortable professional set up. I was a bit anxious but was gently put at ease. The interview took a number of hours but the time flew by. I trusted Karen completely and was assured of the privacy of my history.

I received the first edit a few weeks later. And I was able to make a few alterations. I received the finished recording the week before my birthday in December as Karen had promised. It was all I had hoped it would be. Perfect in every way from the actual recording to the beautiful presentation box. I love it and enjoyed the whole experience immensely. 

A few of my large family have listened to it and they described it as a roller-coaster of emotions. They said "We laughed with you and we cried with you" and "a precious gift" not only to them but to the generations to come.

It was a delight to work with Karen in The Treasure Vox. She was very responsive and worked around our needs. We did two recordings- one with my dad and one with my uncle. She put them at ease, was a great questioner and listener and captured their life stories perfectly. I first contacted Karen at "The Treasure Vox" to do a recording with my Mother to celebrate her 97th birthday.
What struck me was not just Karen's professionalism but also her genuine interest and immense pride in her work.
On the day of the recording, Karen made sure the experience was enjoyable and stress free for mam.
Shortly afterwards I received the first draft for approval, followed closely by the beautifully presented end product.
This is something we will always treasure.
Karen didn't just do a recording for us that day, she created a family heirloom that will be cherished for many generations.

I reached out to Karen to find out about Treasure Vox for my 82 year old dad. The process was very simple from start to finish. Karen was great at keeping dad to the storyline (he tends to go off on a history tangent) She arrived at his house and was very easy to chat to so much do he didn’t realize the time passing! I’m absolutely over the moon with my story, I learned a few new stories about my Mam, I’d never heard before. If your thinking of doing this for someone you live. Don’t hesitate … just book it ! I'd like to share my experience of The Treasure Vox.
My parents live in England and my Dad, who is eighty one, has such vivid memories and clarity when he recalls snippets of his life. He recounts stories of his childhood, his college years as well as remembering so much about his grandparents and extended family. He was born during the Battle of Britain and has memories of that impact on his family life.
We have always pleaded with him to write all this down so we can have a colourful memory of all that he's experienced. Then I came across The Treasure Vox on Facebook and immediately thought of how perfect this would be; a 'live' vocal recording of my Dad- something to treasure forever and pass down to my own grownup children and grandchildren.
Karen was so professional, accommodating and friendly. She set up an interview via Zoom with Dad in January. The finished CD,beautifully presented, is more than I could have wished for. Karen incorporated  music, sound effects and really brought my Dad's story to life. A few tears were shed upon listening to it!
My Dad is still with us, healthy and playing golf regularly.
He loves the recording that Karen has made, so we are all delighted with the service, warmth and professionalism that The Treasure Vox has given us
In years to come, we can close our eyes and bring Dad's voice and stories back to us whenever we want to - a priceless gift and a true treasure."
